February 19 and 19 members gathered at Guido's restaurant in Amersham for our annual luncheon. It would have been more but illness took its toll and resulted in depleted numbers.
Guido did us proud again and there were approving noises from those who did manage to make it.
No speeches of course (as is our usual custom) but as it is the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty's accession to the throne, members stood, the Secretary proposed the Loyal Toast and members seconded.
It was good to make contact again with some old friends who cannot easily get to meetings. As usual the conversation was not about 'little bits of paper' and a convivial time was had by all. Missed it this year? Why not make the effort next year?
